Dr. Robert Brooks is a psychologist on the part-time faculty of Harvard Medical School and former Director of the Department of Psychology at McLean Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital.  He has lectured nationally and internationally and written extensively about the themes of resilience, motivation, and positive school and work environments.  He is the author or co-author of 17 books (Heidi, my 18th book is set to be published at the end of April; it is a follow-up book to one I co-authored with the head of a financial advisor institute and focuses on applying positive psychology principles to financial and business advising).  Dr. Brooks has received numerous awards for his work, the most recent the Mental Health Humanitarian Award from William James College in MA.
